la música americana

idk if i heard right or not, but i'm pretty sure i heard spanish music for the first time being played today walking home from school. i'm astounded with how much american ok maybe English music would be better cuz ew're not all from the US. but no joke, lady gaga and all the pop hits are played in the stores and i've even heard them on TV and the radio too. i think i've heard just about all the current songs that i like here...weird. i did not expect to see as much English as i do here. i wanted to ask Lucia (the daughter of Pura, mi mama) about that and if she understands it or not but  haven't really had the chance yet but i can't wait to have that discussion.
