First, let's start with the dinner conversation. One of the few times i have time to converse with my family. so for the past few days, how we always get on this topic, i do not know. but i think the whole house enjoys it haha.I don't know what i do you cause al lthe laughing in this house but apparently everyone thinks i'm funny i dunno. So i can't roll my "r"s right. well i youtubed it and am learning. so everytime i leave the house mi mama espanol rolls an 'r' in some word to remind me to practice haha. isn't she so cute : )
last night i went out with the Japs for some karaokee. SO much fun! well you know me when it comes to karaokee. during tea before Yuki y yo left, we were talking about music. and wait, let me just tell you, for being i think like 70 this women has a GREAT taste in music hot damn. did not know that our famous what i think are american songs, are also in Spanish! like "believe" by Cher yeah well it's in spanish aka se llama "creer" --Teddy informed me of this. but mi mama espanola had me look up some artists and we found their most popular songs....UMMM Piano Man en espanol!?! uhhh cheyaaaa!!! i'm absolutely lovin this! so then i proceeded to play some of these in english for her and whatnot. of course i sang along, and well she told me that i have a good voice lol i dunno about that but i have no prob belting any song ha!
So Yuki y yo nos fuimos for karaokee. i sang 2 songs. the second was Garth Brooks "friends in low palces" classic. i can't remember the first one i sang tho. i sang it well too hmmmm darn. but then my name came up on the screen again. Samuel put my name down for "Poker Face" and grabbed the mic from me. i think he secretly wanted to sing it just didn't want anyone to know lol. after karaokee night the gang headed over to central perk. i got a tap and then 2 free shots (took one with Yuki). did not like it. it was a coffee liquor something or another. thank god i had that beer as a chaser cuz it was nasty!
Karin reminded me, the first song i sang was "Don't stop believing" thank you very much. i pretty much rocked it. just sayin ; )
just a way to let people know how i'm doing and what shenanigans i'm up to while in Spain

love tapas con clase!
even tho i'm crunched for money because i'm trying to save it for Ireland because it's expensive there, i sucked it up and gave my 5 euros for tapas after our movie for class yesterday. the movie was at 5pm. last time i got lost trying to find it, no worries, i'm pro at this city now (i think haha). unfortunately i was a bit tired and missed a good portion of this first half of it. i dunno. the first movie we watched was legit and really good. this one just couldn't hold my attention even when i was awake. it was hard to get into it. it was about the era Franco and some people graffiti-ed the university wall against the regimen de Franco so they were trying to make their way to France for safety. i mean it was historical in a sense then but it just didn't grab my attention all that much.
so before we went out for tapas, i walked around for like 45 min give or take until we had to meet up again. the only americans who went were Sam, Lauren (not from our group) and then Traci, Becky, and myself (from our group). i really enjoy going out for tapas because i get to speak spanish with my friends and there's no pressure whatsoever. it was funny. we went to 3 places throughout the night. but the one place we went to we had a huge table for us. there was a huge group, us and the Japs, Kely (de brazil) y una chica de Italia. it's so interestingly learning about the differences between our cultures and countries. i love it! but so yeah, the table was huge. usually we have to cram and the us girls get to sit at a table while the majoirty of the others have to stand by the bar. we ended up going to 3 different places...in other words thats 3 rounds of drinks (3 of tapas)...my spanish is getting there,,,well its going somewhere, idk where lol
